Armstrong in Hamburg! The Ernst-Merk-Halle is full to bursting. At that time began an ever growing love and passion for old jazz and with it increased also the number of collected discs. Step by step a real collection "for domestic use" was built up.
Until recently, the collection was housed in the founder's private rooms. One could still imagine to master it somehow, whereas the huge amount of all the other collected items defies any impression of an intuitive overview.
This collection comprises about 10.000 discs including 2.500 78s and 7.500 LPs. Each disc is in a white inside sleeve and a brown cover. The LPs are all in their original color cover.
All discs are numbered consecutively and listed alphabetically in four folios. The 78s are catalogued with all relevant information and the LPs have been scanned and are available as a picture gallery. | ![]() |
