Jazz cassette collection

Bob Zurke, Jimmy Weatherspoon, Horace Henderson, Willie Smith, Emmett Berry
Stew Pletcher, Fud Livingston, Benny Carter, Kaiser Marshall, Walter Johnson

The cassette collection is more or less secondary and has been accumulated over the years rather casually and without special objective. The cassettes are mostly double side recordings and hold 15 to 20 pieces of music each.

In the meanwhile, this collection has become a nice complement and a historical extension of the main jazz collection. The major part is blues, rhythm and blues, gospel, rock, and modern jazz.

The period begins with the fifties and ends with the nineties.

The collection is not easily accessible because of the short descriptions of each cassette even though they are all numbered on red stickers. Mostly the label is not specified, nor the cassette's number, and frequently the names of artists are missing. But this has also a certain appeal and encourages us to look for unknown artists and to discover unknown pieces of music.

This collection is a treasure trove for collectors, who can fill in gaps in their collections, for instance by copying the tapes.
