The Sioux City Six, Nat Gonella, Dodo Marmarosa, O'Neill Spencer, New Orleans Feetwarmers
Leon 'Bix' Beiderbecke, Adolphus 'Doc' Cheatham, Peanuts Hucko, The Washingtonians, Frank Signorelli

Broadway and its «Tin Pan Alley » had a great influence on the world, especially on Berlin. We consider this collection which we deliberately called « Beside the jazz », to be a homage in the broad sense to Broadway and its artists.

There are about 12 000 LPs. The collection includes the period of the beginning of the LPs until the first half of the Seventies. In this collection « Beside the Jazz » one finds a large range of different artists and genres.

SWING, POP, COUNTRY, MUSICAL, ETHNO, SOUNDTRACK - FILM etc...

Several smaller currents are also documented, for example: Samba, Bossa Nova, Percussions, and music of many ethnic groups, produced in order to satisfy the musical needs of the immigrants in the United States.

Only English speaking, US produced music has been collected. The collection presents all sorts of curiosities.

Along with the music there are countless descriptive texts, graphical art works and photographs to discover.

The collection « Beside the Jazz » contains lots of surprises!

Discs and covers are in very good condition.

The complete collection is fully documented in a 550 page book, of which the cover is represented on the opening page of this section. A second edition has just been printed.
